ACTIVITIES AND JOB EXPERIENCES

Volleyball 2017                         Player      (October 2017-November 2022) I have been playing volleyball since 7th grade, but this was my last year. As this is my senior year, my academic excellence is extremely important to me. Over the course of these years, I have learned teamwork and communication. I was always an introvert, but I quickly learned I can’t do everything by myself. I’ve learned how to ask for help when needed.

Tops Friendly Market Rochester, NY                                 Cashier                                      (March 2021 - October 2021)

I got my first job at 15 and started to work at Tops. While I was there I was a cashier, but I also did reshop. I would handle money, ring groceries, service to customers, genuine hospitality, and I was constantly moving. While I was here, I learned how to work in a fast paced environment, but also learned skills of communication. Being an introvert it was hard to talk to others because I used to be a people pleaser. But over the course I’ve learned I’m myself and won’t let others walk over me, but always being respectful.

Brusters Real Ice Cream Rochester, NY             Customer Service                 (March 2022 - May 2022)

Brusters have always had the best ice cream since I was a kid. Brusters always gave me nostalgia and it felt amazing being able to work there. I was ready to take on two jobs as I was currently still working at CFA. I wasn’t treated fairly as I wasn’t getting proper training and due to weather conditions of rain and snow, no one taught me anything. I was eventually told that this job isn’t for me, but I wasn’t given the chance to learn.

Chick-Fil-A  Rochester, NY                            Team Trainer/Team Lead          (October 2021- October 2023)

I got hired at East Irondequoit CFA in October before they opened. The restaurant wasn’t built yet, but while I had my phone interview, they thought I was an adult. While being interviewed here and at Tops I got the same compliment that I speak like an adult and have amazing emotional intelligence. I have been with this team since 2021 and I do not plan on leaving. I am a front of house team trainer who is cross trained to the back of the house. I was promoted to a team trainer as I train others, but also a leader. I was currently training in leadership, but I have experience with running shifts, money handling, hospitality, food safety, and much more. I am very direct and have priorities when it comes to keeping a restaurant running smoothly, safety, accuracy, and pace.

Youth Advocacy Program   Geneva, NY                                                Advocate (September 2023-Present)

I am an advocate for the youth. YAP is similar to a big sister big brother program. I am helping children who have adolescent issues or children who are on probation. While working with my clients we find 3 goals for them to achieve for 6-8 months. We teach them how to be better Samaritans and handle the difficult ways through life. With this job you must be empathetic and empowering and that’s what I am. My goal is to make a difference and I know I am accomplishing that.

Marks Pizzaeria  Penn Yann, NY                                                       Front Of House (August 2023-Present)

I came to Marks during college. And one of the phone girls and I deal with hospitality, cleaning and managing money.

But why should you choose me?

I have always said and been told that I have leadership qualities, but some can’t prove that. I am confident in who I am and my ability to do what I can do. I go above and beyond and consistently integrity and doing all things well. I never expect anyone to notice, but when it is it never goes underappreciated. I will show consistent awareness of my surroundings and my team because at the end of the day we are all a family and we can’t do everything by ourselves. It’s okay to ask for help and that’s what being a team is all about. Being in management or even a leader isn’t just about being the best, but setting an example and leading your team to success.
